““I love the original material and the flow of Young Gage. He’s known to be a “ghost writer” to the main stream but as his own artist, you can definitely read his soul in between the lines. Keep the original sound coming.”” — Lioness TeLaine”
— THE OUTLET RADIO MUSIC REVIEW, YOUNG GAGE "PRESSURE POINTS" MIX-TAPE REVIEW.
Makes you say, who is Young Gage right? That's how I felt so I had to find out for myself. After listening to his mixtape I wanted to do a little more digging about the rapper. His "Pressure Points" album caught my attention with songs like "One Time" - I loved the beat, very charismatic approach, and the story it told. "All Day" lyrics were on point and had a unique flow. "All The Way Up" had a banging ass word flow and of course "All the way up" instrumental, who doesn't already love that! "This cash" had a sick beat it was one of my favorites and "When will we be free" had a great message, tone and delivery. Very smooth and a upbeat melodic. I enjoyed the light rock and the percussion bonus track and I absolutely I appreciated the "Louisiana" feel! His Mixtape definitely didn't fall short of entertaining...

As a Baton Rouge Louisiana native, Young Gage exceeds all expectations and limitations imposed on southern rappers. His ability to deliver a well cadenced verse is nothing short of phenomenal and his laid back style showcases an ease with wordplay and lyrical dexterity rarely seen in today's rappers. While his rhymes are far from simplistic or typical, his verses are relatable to the average listener and thought provoking for the 'heads'. In addition to penning his own masterpieces Gage's talent's are and can be witnessed in his ghostwriting, song arrangement, music production and composition. A quiet thinker and observer, Young Gage can be described in one sentence to "Speak softly and carry a loud mic."
As a independent hip hop recording artist coming from Batton Rouge Louisiana Young Gage started out in 2002 being inspired by all different forms - stemming from: music, art, logic, balance, knowledge, peace of mind and life. These are the what forms that make up the creativity seen in him today!
You can catch him speaking on influences saying, "Anyone or anything that goes against the grain by nature ,individuality ,matters of substance ,creative minds with the willpower to match and lyrical compositions." Y.G.
